“Sikun Guwahati, Mor Guwahati” is an initiative by the Guwahati Municipal Corporation,, (GMC) to promote a clean and green Guwahati. The campaign encourages citizens to take responsibility for waste management starting at home.
By simply separating our waste into four categories – Wet Waste (kitchen & food), Dry Waste (paper, plastics, metals), Sanitary Waste (diapers, pads), and Hazardous Waste (batteries, e-waste, chemicals) – we can give our city a chance to breathe better and shine brighter.
The event emphasizes collective responsibility: keeping our surroundings healthy, our rivers pure, and our neighborhoods beautiful. Together, we can build a Guwahati we are proud to call our own.
“Segregate, Not Aggregate.”
